Hi, i have never been very good at maths and i have been told that i might find the course diffficult without mathematical skills. Some say not neccesarily. Am a bit confused, any help on what to expect? Thanks

Q: If I am interested in careers in construction, should I study engineering or construction management?
If I am interested in careers in construction, should I study engineering or construction management? I am interested in careers anywhere from design to site management. Which college major would offer me the most flexibility possible careers?
Also, would a degree in Civil with a concentration in construction be comparable/equivalent to a degree in Construction management?
A: You would have more options in getting a civil degree of the choices you’ve given. While civil involves mainly sitework and infrastructure design, a degree as a professional engineer or architect is more suited to designing structures. You will still have enough education pursuing the professional degrees, architect, civil engineer or professional engineer to be able to enter a supervisory position if you choose. Look for work in that field over summer/breaks.
Q: in which university i could study in construction management?

Q: Can i study construction management?
I am trying to decide between 2 possible career fields, construction management and fire fighting, as i am about to finsih high school.
I know I have a slot in fire fighting, as my uncle is a ranking officer at a major city FD.
But I would also like to study construction management because of the higher salary and still hands on work. No desk jobs for me.
I am a good student, B’s and A’s, mostly B’s. With a C here and there.
I struggled greatly in Algebra II, and barely passed.
IT seems like CM is fairly math intensive the first couple of years, which is what i am worried about, the math.
Do you think I could study this and succeed, or would FF be a better route for me?
A: There are no guarantees, but Construction Management is as good and stable a career prospect as any.
Bowling Green’s BST Construction Management degree is ATMAE-accredited, so you will be eligible for ATMAE’s CTM Certification (Certified Technology Manager). Make sure you get it, for maximum resume benefit.

Q: Where can I study master of construction project management in sweden?
A: University of Stockholm
Q: I want to study a PHD in construction management, how much it cost me and what is the period of time needed.?
A: This depends on the university you choose to go to. Each university has their own tuition and fees guidelines.
As for period of time, this will depend on many things. Some colleges give what they call “life learning” credits that will help you fulfill course requirements based on your work/school history…such as if you ever worked in construction or studied construction in a vocational training program (also working/volunteering for programs such as Habitat for Humanity or other home building agencies will help here), others use something that is called CLEP or DANTES (there are a variety of other names as well). These are optional tests that you can take, if you feel you have college level knowledge of a certain subject. These can also shorten the length of time you spend in college.
Not all colleges accept CLEP or DANTES, but you can peruse the information at: http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/clep/about.html and http://www.dantes.doded.mil/dantes_web/examinations/index.htm?Flag=True
I do not know much about this major, so I can’t give you a time line of how long it would take without any of the above mentioned credit options.
